Design, innovation and sustainability improve life and create links between the old and the new. I believe that design = responsibility. As a contextual fashion designer I wish to put human needs at the center of my work.
In autumn 2015, I started a new life phase in design, as I wished to develop my work based on design thinking and circular economy with an interdisciplinary approach. The goal was to establish a new clothing line that would bring more value to the wearer and the environment; it would address not only aesthetics but certain needs as well.
My two year design “journey” in Denmark expanded my knowledge regarding sustainable practices within the fashion industry, circular principles, design methods and business models. The result lies in the creation of a more conscious and sustainable design, as I believe that fashion has an added value to the world apart from aesthetics. A manifestation of this is SOLVE, a innovative sustainable fashion brand of which I am the creator of.
In the meantime, I offer consultancy regarding a sustainable approach to designers and brands. I have a close collaboration with VIA Design & Business University College, as a sustainability consultant for VIA Student Incubator Herning, but also as a guest teacher for sustainability-focused projects. I am also one of the two founders of the Sustainable Business Design & Entrepreneurship HUB, a learning hub for sustainable innovations within the fashion & lifestyle industry dedicated to students and teachers at VIA Design.
