On Wednesday , the 26th, we had our fashion revolution at VIA Design. The initiative came from the Sustainable Business Design and Entrepreneur Hub (SBDE), a learning hub for sustainable innovations within the fashion and lifestyle industry dedicated to VIA Design students.

The event was part of the Fashion Revolution Week global movement and our goal was to spread awareness about responsibility when sourcing our clothes, production places and the way they are consumed. As designers, branders, retail designers and pattern designers, we all stood for a more responsible supply chain as we believe in a fashion industry that values people, planet and profit in an equal measure.
The change towards a healthier fashion industry can only happen if we are all informed: from farmers to consumers.
As Fashion Revolution puts it, we are “pro-fashion protesters” because we love fashion and want to see it become a force for good.

So, be the change, find out #whomadeyourclothes and encourage your favorite brands to be responsible and transparent. As always, form follows feeling.

More about the movement from the Fashion Revolution official website

Fashion Revolution Week is our #whomademyclothes campaign in April, which falls on the anniversary of the Rana Plaza factory collapse, which killed 1138 people and injured many more on 24th April 2013. That is the day Fashion Revolution was born. During this week, brands and producers are encouraged to respond with the hashtag #imadeyourclothes and to demonstrate transparency in their supply chain.
